Regarding the idea of having a toll on the main gate, the Rag Committee do it, so why shouldn't we/ In fact, instead of (as seems to be customary)having a relatively old man with a limop and a bad temper to collect the money, why not adopt the Rag tactic of employing fairly young and attractive people to flag incoming cars down, then reach in and steal their keys and run off with them? Substantial funds could be extorted in this manner, which could then be used to ensure that the extension to the Mandelson wing of the library is not only not delayed any further, but that we can actually return to the original idea of gilding the North and West Cupolas and puting in a sliding roof over the Department of Heliocentric Studies. I would like to support this suggestion.
