The University of Armageddon continues to be at the cutting edge in the development of efficient and effective management systems. The University has recently replaced faculty based assessment administration with a centrally located Assessment Unit servicing the entire University. The latest round of assessment has witnessed a number of "teething problems". In one faculty, the resultss were released so late that security had to be called to eject rioting students. In another, some units were displayed featuring last years' results. For one unit, the Assessment Unit published exam seat numbers rather than percentage results. work was sent to the wrong external examiner. Some work was lost completely. Students who sat exams were marked as absent. Students who were absent were given fictional grades. The University Administration insists that these are just the inevitable minor difficulties that any new systems experiences. Rumour has it that they are intending to return to the original system of devolved administration. Cynics would question the value of a degree in Business Administration from a University who's own administrative initiatives make the Child Support Agency look like a model of economy, efficiency and efectiveness.
