After spending two million pounds on a new management and student record system, the University of Armageddon seeks advice on possible alternative solutions. The current system, the Just Armageddon Management System (JAMS), puchased in Japan, only prints labels on the dot matrix printer in the Department of Architecture, cannot be asked for information on specific groups of students and has set all first year students Final Examinations. Examples of alternative systems and their strengths and weaknesses much appreciated.
